Account Assistant, Surety – November 2024
Full Time, Salary range $60 – $70K
The Account Assistant position provides administrative support to our production and service teams to allow a seamless execution of our service strategy. We are looking for a special, passionate administrative professional who can effectively manage their workflow around competing priorities without sacrificing service quality, and deliver consistent, high end results on schedule.
The successful candidate will be detail driven, highly organized, and will be passionate about providing exceptional client service at all levels. Strong customer service skills including both oral and written communication aptitude will be essential.
Responsibilities:
- Receive requests for bonds by email or via our proprietary system called Bondline
- Review all requirements and draft the bond
- Send to surety company to get approval
- Once approval received, issue bond (we do some printed bonds and alsouse a few different e-bonding systems)
- Manage incoming and outgoing couriers
- Update bond number tracking system
- Invoice the premium and send along with the bond
- Follow up on payment of the premium
- Speak with clients and surety companies on the phone as well as via written email communication
- Respond to queries promptly (same day)
- Participation in team events as well as meetings with insurers or clients in the office
- Other duties as required
- Salary range between $60,000 to $70,000
Core Competencies:
- Level 1 Agent license in BC is required.
- A minimum of 1 – 2 years experience in Surety/Bonding is required.
- Strong financial acumen is an asset.
- Strong typing skills as well as technology knowledge and adept at learning new systems is an asset.
- 5 days a week of In office attendance for at least first 6 months –performance will be reviewed to consider hybrid –Tues to Thurs are the team days in the office.
