At Wylie Crump we are proud to be one of Western Canada’s most trusted and well-established surety brokerages. Backed by decades of expertise and a reputation for client-first service, we’re looking for a sharp, driven, and client-focused Surety Account Executive to join our team.
As an Account Executive you will be responsible for growing and managing a book of business and will be supported by a team of bond processors and account associates, while working alongside the on the leading surety teams in the industry. This role requires a strong understanding of underwriting risk, financial acumen, and business development. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead new business development efforts with a focus on strategic growth and relationship expansion.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing tailored guidance on bonding facilities, contract requirements, and project-specific solutions.
- Support clients with claims handling and proactive risk mitigation strategies
- Apply strong financial analysis to assess client performance and uncover growth opportunities.
- Participate in client strategy discussions to align bonding solutions with upcoming project pipelines.
- Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to skill development and team success.
- Represent the company at industry events to strengthen market presence and network relationships.
- Contribute insights to product and service innovation by monitoring industry trends and client feedback.
- Collaborate with internal teams to build specialized knowledge in key sectors or product areas.
- Solve client challenges with independence and creativity, delivering high-value solutions.
- Support additional business initiatives as needed to ensure overall client and team success.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 years Surety/Bonding experience.
- Level 2 Insurance License is required.
- CAIB, CIP, or ASCB designations considered an asset.
- Background in finance, accounting, or related financial education considered an asset.
