Senior Associate – December 2024
Full time, Salary Range – $70,000 – $110,000
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Senior Associate manages a portfolio of clients while providing overall direction to the team. In collaboration with the Director, this advisor has oversight of the client’s insurance program and the service team that provides our services. The Senior Associate is the main service contact for the client, answering risk and insurance queries, executing on placement of the insurance program and ensuring delivery of our services as outlined in the strategy plan. The candidate is highly-organized with strong technical, planning and communication skills to ensure our client service and broking delivery is executed at all levels.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accountable to Director for assigned book of new and existing clients
- Deliver a renewal strategy plan ensuring client agrees with approach and timeline, adjust and communicate as necessary to meet objectives
- Conduct contract reviews and advise on risk mitigation as well as areas of non-compliance
- Prepare submission and market program with insurers, completing side-by-side comparison of results for presentation to the client
- Deliver outcome of renewal negotiations to the client in person and through written proposal
- Execute service agreements and deliver stewardship reports along with program summaries or schematics
- Ensure compliance with regulatory processes to and ensure required disclosures, documentation and taxes are obtained and filed by deadlines
- Organize service team meetings as well as attend industry and client meetings
- Guide service team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of policies, invoices and payment options such as premium financing
- Communicate with colleagues and clients in person, phone, MS Teams, Zoom, and email to ensure strong collaboration and execution
- Learn current and new systems and actively implement with the teams to ensure consistent and effective delivery of services
- Various other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of Commercial insurance experience, CAIB, CRM, CIP or equivalent designation an asset
- Strong organization and project management skills
- Experience with data management systems, Epic would be strong asset
- Proficient in MS office suite of products (PowerPoint, publisher, word, excel)
- Experience in managing multiple priorities and working in a dynamic environment
- Attention to detail with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong written and oral English skills are required and other languages would be an asset
- Level 2 P&C Insurance Agent license is a requirement
