Shaun Johnston

With over 15 years experience managing complex insurance programs and accounts, Shaun delivers practical advice with a collaborative and a reliable service approach. Shaun’s clients have included firms with diverse regional, national and international operations. He has also provided advisory and insurance placement services for many of Western Canada’s infrastructure projects including both design-build and PPP project delivery methods. Prior to his work at Wylie-Crump, Shaun founded and led the Canadian construction and development insurance arm of an international company and held executive roles as Vice President and Manager of the Construction and Development Unit for a global insurance brokerage firm.

An active member of the Urban Development Institute, Vancouver Regional Construction Association, BC Roadbuilders & Heavy Construction Association & BC Construction Roundtable. Shaun holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Finance & Risk Management from the University of Calgary, a Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation, and a Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) designation.
